Staging Transformation: Inglewood Infill

Even when a house is brand new, having it staged is incredibly important to ensure that buyers can visualize how to set it up and, perhaps more importantly, what they can fit in the space. We were hired to stage one of two skinny homes which were just being finished up in the neighbourhood of Inglewood, in Edmonton.

As we were brought in at the end of the build, our consultation process was limited. The main focus was on the 'Showcasing'. (Read more about the staging process here). Skinny homes can often be a bit tricky to work with because they are much longer than they are wide and as a result, furniture placement (and space) can be limited. We wanted to ensure that buyers felt confident that this home would meet and exceed their wishlist. The client wanted a modern look, so we focused on that while also ensuring it was cozy, as we want buyers to feel at home when they are viewing it. The following before and afters will give a good sense of how staging a vacant home shows the true size and possibilities of the spaces within it.

Because the home was not quite finished when we came in to take before photos and plan the design, there were a few spaces that didn't get captured. Here are some after shots of those spaces and some additional details.

This professional home staging was completed in collaboration with Tanyia of Do-Up Design.
